an afternoon outing in the rain

i hate rainy days.  the wetness and the gloomy sky all put me in a damp mood. it is one of those days that i'd prefer to curl up on the couch and watch tv or read a book all day.  but as parents, you lose that privilege.  so we had to brave the pouring rain and took arwyn to a thomas train book reading at the adorable children's bookstore Books of Wonder.   we were late and missed the book reading "part", but arwyn got to take photo with sir topham hatt (not that i know who he is).  And we ran into her classmate "little henry", as arwyn calls him.   they had a great time holding hands and playing falling down in the store.
